‘Businesses not reporting crime as they have no faith in judiciary’

Interesting article it ought to be remembered that post “Anglo” failure to disclose that a business has been the victim of a crime is a criminal offence under section 19 of the Criminal Justice Act 2011 attracting a jail sentence of upto 5 years in a judge and jury trial or upto 12 months before the District Court.

Business owners and company directors need to be very aware of this provision with regard to white collar crime and fraud by employees in particular.
